Diese Woche ist es soweit, wir bekommen Besuch aus Wisconsin. Rechtzeitig zur Landeskonferenz der Wirtschaftsjunioren Hessen reisen die Delegierten unseres Twinnings Hessen Wisconsin an. Damit ihr sie auf der Konferenz gleich erkennt und vielleicht schon Gesprächsstoff habt, stellen wir sie hier kurz vor

Jen Thompson

Jen Thompson
Jen Thompson is the 2012 President of JCI Wisconsin and a member of JCI New London.

Professionally, she is the Director of Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care for Appleton Health Care Center in Appleton, Wisconsin. She has had the distinct privilege of developing and creating The Avenue, an Alzheimer’s specific neighbor-hood, with the corporate team. This is designed as a home-like setting within the skilled nursing facility for residents with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. In her career, Jen enjoys sharing the small things with their residents: a smile, a reason to get dressed up, even a hug.

Jen received her undergraduate in Vocal Performance and Psychology in 2000 from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. In 2008, she obtained a Certificate in Gerontology and one in Public Speaking. In 2009, she completed her Master’s in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix and later that year became a Certified Dementia Practitioner.

Jen is married to her husband, Bret and has a daughter, Eva. In her free time, she enjoys singing and community service projects with JCI Wisconsin.

Erica Jansky

Erica Jansky
Erica Jansky is a member of JCI Manitowoc in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She has been a member of JCI since October 2010 and served as Chapter Secretary in 2011 and is currently the State Director in 2012. Erica’s greatest Jaycee accomplishment is being named most outstanding local chapter Secretary for 2011 in the entire state of Wisconsin.

Professionally, Erica is the Director of Rehabilitation at Manitowoc Health & Rehab Center. She manages a team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists. The facility provides therapy to adults following surgery or illness and holds 150 patients, typically 20 for short-term rehab and the rest live there long term.

Erica holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders and is a speech therapist by trade. Last May, she earned a Master’s degree in Management and Organizational Behavior and transitioned into a full-time management role versus primarily providing speech therapy to patients.

Erica has been married to her husband Jason for 5 years. He also recently became a member of JCI Manitowoc. Their family consists of 3 small dogs; Lucy, Marty, and Penny.

Alex Lueck

Alex Lueck
Alex Lueck is a member of JCI La Crosse in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He has been a member of JCI for the past two years. He currently serves his local chapter as Membership Vice President. Alex’s greatest accomplishment was being recognized by his local chapter as Member of the Year in 2011.

Professionally, Alex is an Electrical and Gas Designer. In his position with Xcel Energy, he is heavily involved in Project Management and Design of facilities for new and existing customers according to given Company Policy and Standards. As these projects are designed, Alex provides continuous work direction for construction personnel. As a company, Xcel Energy promotes a safe work environment and designs a safe Operating System while providing customer service through company safety programs. Alex is a representative of Xcel Energy in many different facets within the local Community, Region and Nation.

Through his involvement with work and JCI, Alex has also earned certification in 2008 as a Geospatial Information Systems – Professional (GIS-P) and serves as a Director for the La Crosse Oktoberfest Board.

Alex has 3 brothers and 1 sister. He grew up on a Dairy Farm in West Central Wisconsin which is known as the Coulee Region. His parents continue to farm today although in a limited capacity.

Steven Moddie

Steven Moddie
Steven Moddie joined JCI Manitowoc in March 1989 where he served in most positions including Local Chapter President. Under his leadership, JCI Manitowoc was the #4 growth chapter in the world, ending the year at growth of 53 members.

Steve has served JCI Wisconsin as Management and Individual Development Vice Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, Secondary Advisor and Regional Director. He has been recognized by the US Junior Chamber with the Dennis Hamilton Memorial Award and is an inductee in the United States Junior Chamber Recruiter Hall of Fame for recruiting more than 500 members throughout his career.

Steve has been employed by JCI Wisconsin as Executive Vice President (Secretary General) since 2003. He is a JCI Certified National Trainer and Senator #63685.

Born and raised in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, Steve is currently living in Appleton which is the location of JCI Wisconsin’s headquarters.
